WHY STUDY THE BIBLE?

“And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.” (Ecc. 12:12), but there is only one book written by God.

How many copies are sold and how that compares with the #1 best seller is irrelevant (Matt. 24:35). Many have tried to destroy the Bible. People like Matthew Henry have even predicted its disappearance.

I WILL GIVE THANKS UNTO THEE, OH LORD

I will give thanks unto thee, O Lord…

“And David spake unto the Lord the words of this song in the day that the Lord had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul” (2 Sam. 22:1).

This passage begins the same as Psalm 18:1-50, word for word except for the formatting, which was done by men in the early 18th century. 2 Sam 22:1 is unique in that it repeats the title.
