There can only be two outcomes if we compare ourselves with another human being: Either we are proud that we are better than he is, or we are embarrassed and ashamed and tempted to be envious of him.
Love envies not (1 Cor. 13:4).
Love is happy for another person’s gain (Jonathan with David).
Hate is envious of another’s gain (Saul with David).
GOD TELLS US TO EXAMINE OURSELVES TO SEE HOW WE MEASURE UP TO THE “RULE” OF CHRIST’S HEART.

There’s no denying it: we are living in an Information Revolution. Swipe and tap, point and click – voila! We can know within milliseconds the latest transactions on Wall Street, the hottest gossip from across the globe, or the remotest facts from four thousand years ago. But while we are spending increasing hours on our electronic devices, with easier access to more information than perhaps any other generation in history, are we losing sight of the most important knowledge in the universe, the knowledge of God Himself?

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 7:17).
This scripture should be the criterion for anyone studying the Bible. A person who wills to do the will of God has that capacity of the mind. In Romans 7 Paul tells the capacity of his mind—the ability of the mind—thelo and thelema. The mind can and will to do either good or evil. In repentance there is the new mind that wills to do the will of God and serve God as described in Romans 7:25.
